Thanks for checking. OK, here's a suggestion: remove the Prosilica
camera drivers. In testing yesterday, this seemed to do the trick.
dpkg --purge --force-depends libprosilica-gige0
This will (temporarily) break the package management, which you can
restore with "apt-get -f install" when it's time to upgrade again.
Let me know how it goes. If need be, I can make libcamiface and
libcamiface-prosilica packages so that only those that need prosilica
support need to download it.
These camera drivers do some really funky stuff behind the scenes
(namely inter-process communication via signals), and while it's
probably not technically correct to claim that they are buggy in that
sense, it is certainly true that when using the Prosilica camera
drivers, one's code needs to hyper-correct in ways that programmers
don't normally consider.
